EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
Since Hurricane Katrina, the ability to mobilize resources quickly and efficiently has never been proved more important. Disaster can strike quickly and without warning. It can confine or evacuate you from your home. Knowing what to do is your best protection and your responsibility. Washington Terrace City is currently updating its Emergency Management Plan. The City's Emergency Preparedness goals are to save lives, prevent injury, protect property and preserve the environment in the event of major emergencies or disasters. This plan addresses Prevention, Preparedness, Response and Recovery and Training.
