City Parks

Washington Terrace City parks have lots to offer. Sports fields, pavilions, walking trails, playgrounds, great views and more. *NO alcohol or smoking allowed in buildings or on city property.

  • ROHMER PARK is located at 5100 S 650 W. Rohmer Park has three baseball fields, 2 multiple use fields, horseshoe pits, restrooms, rentable pavilion with stage, half-court basketball court, playground, restrooms and more. Large hill area, walking trails around the park, open areas and mature trees complete the park.
  • WRIGHT PARK is located at 300 East 5400 South.  Amenities in this Park include: Open grass areas with young trees, a half-court basketball court, playground equipment and covered picnic tables.
  • LION'S PARK is located at 375 East 4700 South.  Lion's Park serves as a City Entrance Green Space for those entering the City on 4700 South and 4800 South.  Lion's Park is equipped with a toddler playground, and monkey bars and swings in two sand areas.  It has a half-court basketball court and a 30 feet wide by 37 feet long pavilion.  There are many trees with nice shaded areas.
  • GEORGE VAN-LEEUWEN PARK is located at 125 East 4475 South.  Vehicular access to the Park is from 4475 South.  Washington Terrace Elementary sits southwest of the Park.  The School's playground equipment doubles as the Park's playground equipment.  Recent construction to the Park has resulted in three water detention basins, a brand new walking path and many trees.
  • VICTORY PARK  is located at 275 East 4400 South, at the site of old City Hall.  The Park's current amenities include: Open grass areas, lush trees, large playground with bench seating, and off street parking. 
  • SENIOR CENTER PARK located at 300 West and 4575 S has the Senior Center with crafts, meals, and activities. The Park has picnic tables, tennis courts, and small basketball court, and open areas. For more information about the Senior Center and its programs call 621-0161.
