Mayor Mark C. Allen

 

Mark Allen was sworn in as Mayor of Washington Terrace in January 2000.  He enjoys the challenges and success of public service in the City he truly loves.

Mark was born in 1956 in Dover, Delaware.  He grew up in an Air Force family until 1968, when his father retired from the Air Force and the Allen family settled in Washington Terrace.  Mark attended Roosevelt Elementary, T.H. Bell Junior High, Bonneville High School, and Weber State University.

In 1978, Mark married Holly Wilcox.  After living in Uintah and Riverdale, Mark and Holly moved back to Washington Terrace City in 1992.  They have 3 married children and 9 grandsons.

Mark was employed at United Parcel Service for 34 years.  He retired in October 2013. Mark has enjoyed his years in public service and looks forward to continue serving the residents of Washington Terrace.  Mark also enjoys gardening, church service, golfing and spectator sports.  Mark enjoys his family most of all.  His son and parents still reside in Washington Terrace.  It's a great place to raise a family!
